Stranger Than Fiction
Last Friday I went, once again, to see a movie. This time my choice was Stranger Than Fiction.
Now, I have seen Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman and Queen Latifah in films before several times, but this film was the first in which I saw Maggie Gyllenhall and only second with Will Ferrell (the first one being Bewitched). And I must admit that I fully enjoyed myself throughout the film. Thanks to that belong to the script and the cast most of all.
Lately I have found myself liking a lot of films in which the characters are wondering what it's all about. Stranger is another one to the collection. Naturally, in this flick, the main character Harold Crick hears that he'll be dead soon. That makes him get a life.
Too many of us are simply floating through life and wake up to live when it's too late - or never. Films like this make one think about it all and that is always, to me, a sign of a good one. Actually, no matter how much I think about it, I cannot find any faults in it. I'm sure that there are few, but when I go to see a film, I want to enjoy it, be entertained and, of possible, laugh. It was all in there. Simply enjoyable. Treat with no sugar, fat or calories. Heaven!
